#5 Softball Team Shuts Out Coe 3-0

Stacy Pelesz scored two of the Bombers' three runs against Coe
Kissimmee, Fla. – The fifth-ranked softball (8-1) team recorded is second shutout of the season after defeating Coe (5-5) 3-0 at the Rebel Games. Sophomore pitcher Nicole Cade (Beaverton/Portland, Ore.) allowed just two hits over seven innings to record her fourth win of the year.

Sophomore first baseman Stacy Pelesz (Hudson/Livingston) led off the bottom of the second inning with a single and later scored on an error with the only run the Bomber would need. Ithaca added a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth on a two-RBI single from sophomore second baseman Jessica Stangarone (Brewster/Brewster) that plated classmate Erica Cutspec (Fort Plain/Fort Plain) and Pelesz for the 3-0 final.

Pelesz was one-for-three in the game with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Stangarone was one-for two with two RBIs.

The Bombers will next take on Bluffton at 6 p.m. in the final spring break game for both teams.
